Gumtree Farmstay has TWO accommodation options.
The first is our hosted Bed & Breakfast which consists of 2 bedrooms in our home, and can accommodate up to 5 people.
The second is our unique glamping hut, The Shepherd's Rest, a shepherds hut set on a hillside slightly away from the house, a perfect retreat for 2 adults.

HOSTED B&B INFORMATION:-
The Ardgowan Room has a king size bed. We can also place a single trundle bed in this room to accommodate a child under 12 years.
The Airedale Room has a king size bed. *Important - Airedale Room can only be booked in conjunction with the Ardgowan Room for families/friends travelling together. If requiring the second room you will need to email to reserve.*
When booked directly through our website both these rooms have the option of 2 single beds.
Private bathroom with separate toilet shared with same party guests only.
Children 3 years and over are most welcome. Please enquire first if you have a very young child as our home and facilities are not really suitable for babies/toddlers.
Access to our home is via a long staircase and there are a couple of stairs inside the house, therefore our property is unsuitable for wheelchair access or those with limited mobility.
We DON'T allow use of our kitchen facilities, although you can store cold items in our fridge and there is a separate tea/coffee station.

- A delicious Continental Breakfast the following morning. If you are gluten free or lactose intolerant please notify us in advance so we can cater to your needs.
- Farm Tour/Animal Feeding - a complimentary guided walk to meet and feed the animals and see what is happening on the farm. The tour is only available at 4pm so please be aware of this when booking.
- Limited Fee Wifi - 500mb per person per night of stay.
- 2 course Kiwi style evening meal with dessert and a complimentary glass of wine - shared with our family - a great way of getting to know one another - 5 days notice required.
- Farm Tour - if our accommodation is already booked and you wish to meet and feed the farm animals it may be possible to still do so depending on how busy we are.

Airedale Room
The Airedale Room has a king bed (or 2 single beds if required). This room can only be booked in conjunction with the Ardgowan Room for families/friends travelling together. Includes a delicious continental breakfast the following morning. Quality linens and electric blanket (in winter) on beds. Towels & locally made artisan soap provided. No Smoking. |
Ardgowan Room The Ardgowan Room contains a king size bed (or 2 single beds). A single trundle bed can be set up in this room for a child.

Private BathroomThe spacious bathroom contains a shower and bathtub, as well as a heated towel rail and hairdryer. The toilet is separate. The bathroom is NOT shared with the host family. The bathroom/toilet is shared with same party guests ONLY.
No Smoking in our home or on the farm.
Our home is not wheelchair friendly as it is stair access only. |
